Anthony J. Vizzoni is a partner in the firm and he Chair’s the firm’s Business Services Group.  He is also Co-Chair of the firm’s Trucking and Logistics Group.  He focuses his practice on commercial real estate, financing and transactional matters.  Prior to joining Becker, Mr. Vizzoni served as in-house counsel to a well-respected real estate development firm. In that capacity, Mr. Vizzoni gained vast legal, operational and business experience in all aspects of real estate investment, real estate financing and real estate development. 

 

Mr. Vizzoni regularly represents clients in the purchase and sale of all types of commercial real estate properties.  His representation of clients purchasing real estate assets typically includes due diligence oversight with respect to approvals, financing, environmental, title, tenancies, and other matters usually assessed during due diligence activities.  Mr. Vizzoni also specializes in representing real estate developers and commercial property owners in secured and unsecured financing transactions with lenders ranging from traditional institutional bank lenders to “hard money” private investors to private placement filings of group investors.  

 

Mr. Vizzoni represents both landlords and tenants in commercial real estate settings inclusive of traditional office uses, hospitality centers, warehouse facilities, retail spaces, and multi-family markets.  He has negotiated millions of dollars of lease volume and has experience in unique settings such as negotiation of telecom and other utility leases and negotiating with governmental agencies, such as the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in which Mr. Vizzoni has negotiated on behalf of many trucking companies operating out of the designated port locations.

With his diverse and unique real estate and business background, Mr. Vizzoni is well equipped to represent clients in both distressed real estate workouts and distressed business situations.  He has successfully negotiated millions of dollars of distressed loans in workouts in a host of diverse businesses.  On the real estate workouts, he has assisted his clients in the repositioning of distressed real estate properties so as to provide an exit strategy to lenders while salvaging the real estate asset for his clients.  His real estate workouts have included negotiations on behalf of the owners of office buildings, apartment complexes, industrial complexes, partially completed subdivisions, hotels/motels, and raw unimproved land.


 Mr. Vizzoni also regularly represents trucking and transportation companies in various matters, including the purchase and sale of assets, mergers and acquisitions, financing, real estate leasing, governance matters, and other areas affecting his clients’ business operations.  He represents clients in logistics businesses such as freight forwarders, distributors and warehousing, on multiple levels including guidance on day-to-day operational matters.  In these representations, Mr. Vizzoni works closely with his clients’ professional teams such as his clients’ accountants and senior management in establishing company protocols and helping his clients’ achieve both short and long term objectives.  

Mr. Vizzoni has authored several articles on various topics inclusive of general real estate, commercial tenancies, financing matters, distressed workouts, and trucking and transportation industry issues.  He has been a panelist on webinars and has been interviewed on podcasts on various topics.
